Privacy notice

This notice explains what information Meseret Portal ("we") handles when you use meseretportal.com and the Meseret English app.

What we do not collect

You do not need an account to use the app. We do not ask for your name, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Information stored on your device

Your progress, quiz scores, settings and licence key are stored only in your browser on your own device. We cannot see them. You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser data.

Purchases

Payments are handled by our payment provider, Gumroad, which acts as the seller of record (merchant of record). When you buy, Gumroad collects your email address and payment details to process the payment, send your receipt and licence key, and meet tax obligations. Please see Gumroad's own privacy policy for details. We receive your email address and order details so that we can help you with your purchase.

Licence checks

When you unlock the app, your licence key and a random device code (not linked to your name) are sent to our licence-check service and to Gumroad, to confirm the key is genuine and to count the devices it is used on.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process technical information such as your IP address to deliver the site securely. If we use visitor statistics, we use a privacy-friendly service that does not use cookies or identify you.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply and to help you.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Contact us at mahtemtewmen@gmail.com.
